Residency Structure
With five residents per class, the University of Chicago Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program consists of 25 residents. Our department covers eight orthopaedic subspecialty services including: foot and ankle, shoulder, sports medicine, spine, pediatrics, hand and upper extremity, musculoskeletal oncology, and adult joint reconstruction. Our curriculum is organized around these subspecialties and teams of residents are assigned to each service.
